CTL Voice Mail Backing up a Message To a Floppy
At the computer which runs your voice mail:
- 1) Go to the maintenance menu at the top of the screen and hit ENTER.
- 2) In the maintenance menu, scroll down to “Local Backup” and hit ENTER.
- 3) Select type of files. To backup a message enter “M”.
- 4) Select the group of message you wish to archive (S, H, N, A).
- 5) Enter mailbox number you wish to archive then hit enter. Follow directions to archive to floppy.
NOTE:
While the message backup operation is in process, your voice mail system will not process
calls. Keep this in mind when you decide when you wish to perform this operation. If your
system is full auto attendant, call processing will hault while you archive the messages.
NOTE 2:
To reverse this procedure follow same instruction except at step 2 enter local restore.
Again, this will pause call processing while the restoration takes place.
